Sets representing different choices in the Command Window and the Editor have both selections described in the name. Likewise, if you had modified your preferences on the Macintosh Platform to use Windows keyboard shortcuts in both the Editor and Command Window, this is represented by "ExplicitWindowsSet_Mac.xml".

For instance, if you had modified your preferences on the Windows platform to use straight Windows keyboard shortcuts in both the Editor and Command Window, this combination is represented by "ExplicitWindowsSet.xml".

These files represent configurations that the user could have selected in R2009a and earlier releases, although these do not match the default configurations that MATLAB shipped with. In R2009b, the MATLAB® desktop has configurable keyboard shortcuts, and the default values were changed to improve consistency across the desktop. Before R2009b, it was only possible to customize Editor and Command Window keyboard shortcuts, choosing from Windows, MATLAB® standard/Emacs, and Macintosh sets.
